After a few weeks, it looks more considered than the very modern styles we nearly chose. After a few weeks, there is more character in the finish than the listing suggested, yet it still feels restrained. I was worried about glare, but it adds atmosphere without leaving the room gloomy. Once everything was back in place, the space feels more personal; the effect is understated in person. Getting it perfectly level was more fiddly than expected. That is the only reason I have not given it five stars.
