Orelaette Floor Light
Description
Use Case
The Merritt's two pleated fabric shades and two gooseneck arms give a warm, diffused glow rather than a single bright beam, so it works as a floor reading lamp beside a chair or sofa, a corner lamp in a bedroom, or ambient lighting in a living room or study. At 53.3″ (135.5 cm) tall on an 11″ (28 cm) base, it lights a chair from above and takes a small footprint — the two arms let you light a sofa pair or a reading chair plus side table from one fixture. A foot switch on the cord turns it on and off without reaching the shade.
The walnut-finish oak stem, brass rings, and pleated lace-trim shades give it a vintage, French country, traditional look that suits older homes, romantic bedrooms, and traditional living rooms. Set it on a flat surface indoors and keep it out of damp areas.
